Hands-on Service Training at Precisa: Building Expertise for Reliable Support

Technical expertise and hands-on experience are key to providing reliable service. During a recent training at Precisa, service technicians from partner companies in Germany and Serbia strengthened their knowledge of the prepASH as well as the maintenance and repair of Precisa weighing systems.

Learning by doing

At Precisa, service training goes beyond theory. Participants work directly on the instruments, gaining practical experience in maintenance, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair.

During the prepASH training, technicians explored the instrument’s key components and their functions, performed calibration and adjustment procedures, and worked through typical fault scenarios. Practical exercises with prepASH, prepDATA and prepSTATION complemented the technical training.

Precision down to the weighing cell

The training also included the overhaul of weighing cells from the Precisa 520 and 390 series. Participants gained hands-on experience in disassembling, cleaning and rebuilding weighing cells, followed by the necessary adjustment procedures.

Additional topics such as weighing technology, troubleshooting, minimum sample weight, data transmission and firmware updates were covered using practical examples based on real service situations.
