Follow these steps to install RealPort on Microsoft Windows 2000

  1. Click Start, click Settings, and then click Control Panel.

  2. Double-click Add/Remove Hardware to start the Add/Remove Hardware Wizard. Click Next.

  3. Click Add/Troubleshoot a device and click Next.
    NOTE: The Add/Remove Hardware Wizard is searching for new devices.

  4. In the Devices list, select Add a new device and click Next.

  5. Click No, I want to select the hardware from a list and click Next.

  6. In the Hardware types list, select Multi-port serial adapters and click Next.

  7. Click Have Disk.

  8. Type the path to the RealPort files and click OK, or click Browse and locate the files.

  9. TIP: Click here to open the folder containing the RealPort files. You can copy/paste the pathname from the address bar in the browser.

  10. Select digirp.inf, click Open, and then click OK.

  11. In the Models list, select the device you are installing, click Next, and then click Next again.

  12. Follow the prompts on the screen to finish installing RealPort.

 
 

Follow these steps to install RealPort on Microsoft Windows XP

  1. Click Start, click Settings, and then click Control Panel.

  2. If you are using Category View, click Switch to Classic View.

  3. Double-click Add/Remove Hardware to start the Add Hardware Wizard. Click Next.
    NOTE: The Add/Remove Hardware Wizard is searching for new devices.

  4. Click Yes, I have already connected the hardware and click Next.

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the Installed hardware list, select Add a new hardware device, and then click Next.

  6. Click Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced) and click Next.

  7. In the Common hardware types list, select Multi-port serial adapters and click Next.

  8. Click Have Disk.

  9. Type the path to the RealPort files and click OK, or click Browse and locate the files.

  10. TIP: Click here to open the folder containing the RealPort files. You can copy/paste the pathname from the address bar in the browser.

  11. Select digirp.inf, click Open, and then click OK.

  12. In the Model list, select the device you are installing, click Next, and then click Next again.

  13. Follow the prompts on the screen to finish installing RealPort.

 
 

Follow these steps to install RealPort on Microsoft Windows Server 2003

Follow these steps to update RealPort on Microsoft Windows 2000

  1. Click Start, click Settings, and then click Control Panel.

  2. Double-click System, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

  3. Double-click Multi-port Serial Adapters and then double-click the device you would like to update.

  4. On the Driver tab, click Update Driver to start the Upgrade Driver Wizard and click Next.

  5. Click Display a list of known drivers for this device and click Next.

  6. Click Have Disk.

  7. Type the path to the RealPort files and click OK, or click Browse to locate the files.

  8. TIP: Click here to open the folder containing the RealPort files. You can copy/paste the pathname from the address bar in the browser.

  9. In the Models list, select the device you are updating, click Next, and then click Next again.

  10. Click Finish to close the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard and then click Close to close the Device Properties dialog.

  11. Repeat steps 3 to 9 for each device you would like to update.

  12. Close Device Manager and restart your computer to let the changes take effect.

 
 

Follow these steps to update RealPort on Microsoft Windows XP

  1. Click Start, click Settings, and then click Control Panel.

  2. If you are using Category View, click Switch to Classic View.

  3. Double-click System, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

  4. Double-click Multi-port Serial Adapters and then double-click the device you would like to update.

  5. On the Driver tab, click Update Driver to start the Hardware Upgrade Wizard.

  7. Click Search for the best driver in these locations and select the Include this location in the search check box.

  8. Type the path to the RealPort files and click OK, or click Browse and locate the files.

  9. TIP: Click here to open the folder containing the RealPort files. You can copy/paste the pathname from the address bar in the browser.

  10. In the list, select the device you are updating and click Next.

  11. Click Finish to close the Update Hardware Wizard and then click Close to close the Device Properties dialog.

  12. Repeat steps 4 to 10 for each device you would like to update.

  13. Close Device Manager and restart your computer to let the changes take effect.

 
 

Follow these steps to update RealPort on Microsoft Windows Server 2003

  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click System.

  2. Click the Hardware tab, and then click the Device Manager.

  3. Double-click Multi-port Serial Adapters and then double-click the device you would like to update.

  4. On the Driver tab, click Update Driver to start the Hardware Update Wizard.
