Discover the capabilities of the balance

The balance is equipped with a high resolution touch screen panel and 6 fix integrated operation keys. The ease of operation is maintained by a highly intuitive user Interface. The touch panel is operable through standard laboratory rubber and silicon gloves as well as cotton gloves.

Keypad

The 6 fixed operation keys serves to perform the most used operations as:

[On/Off]:
Switch the balance on/off or restart

[User]:
Navigate from/to the Users Screen

[Zero/Tare]:
Zero or Tare the balance (left)

[Print]:
Print the defined protocol

[Applications]:
Navigate from/to the Applications Screen

[Zero/Tare]:

Navigation

Navigation from the current application to the Users Screen or the Applications Screen is done by clicking the [USERS] or the [APPLICATIONS] button. Thus a quick change of applications or user can be performed very easy.

Vertical scrolling is performed by a simple pan. Typically used for screens with more than 12 Icons or for menu items exceeding the standard screen height.

Saving screen shots

To create meaningful SOP’s or in a discussions with customers service and support a screen shot is often very useful. To save a screen shot:

The fix part of the Screen

Some components of the screen are always present and therefore fix positioned.

1 Headline

In the header line, the balance-specific data such as the maximum weighing range Max, the minimum weight Min, the readability d, the verification interval e and the user Administrator, date and time are displayed.

2 Designation of the applications or the current application

Here you can see where you are at the moment. This can be the always identically named Users Screen, the always identically named Applications Screen, the application itself or the name of the current menu. An application is labeled with the currently running application, such as Weighing, Counting, Density determination, Adjustment, etc.

3 Auxiliary information

Symbols for connected peripherals such as keyboard, USB stick, etc. or active network connections or a WLAN are displayed here.

4 Help

The help is structured as context-related help. Consequently, tapping the help icon loads the appropriate help in context to the current menu, application or setting. Searching in a manual is practically eliminated.

5 Home

Returns from any situation to the application screen. This is extremely helpful in more complex hierarchies which can be left very quickly.

The Application Screen

Depending on the application and its settings, various components are displayed on the screen.

1 Context menu

Tap on the context menu tab to open the functions available for the current application as Add-On's or other specific settings and functions.

2 Customizer

The Customizer allows you to customize the screen and the soft keys. This is done by simply moving and assigning predefined buttons in the Action bar or values to show in the Info section.

3 Status symbols

4 Notes

Note, for example, that the balance is no longer levelled and should therefore be levelled again or that the scale should be re-adjusted.

5 Add-On

Basically, all applications can be extended in their functionality by so-called Add-On's. A typical example is the Statistics Add-On's, which statistically processes the values measured, for example, in the Weighing application.

6 Secondary display

For certain applications the weight is displayed here. For example, in the Counting application, the main display shows the quantity and the second display shows the weight.

7 Capacity display

Graphical display of how much of the entire weighing range is currently being used.

8 Info section

The Info section are displayed here as they have been defined for the Info section in the customizer.

9 Weight

The weight value in the selected unit is displayed here.

10 Stability indicator

After a change in weight, the indicator appears as a red circular ring which decreases with increasing stability. Basically, a weight value is considered stable and therefore valid when the indicator (red ring) is no longer visible.
If the indicator disappears very slowly, this means that the weighing is disturbed, e.g. by drafts, vibrations of the location or other influences. You should therefore change or optimize the location.

11 Action bar

The balance provides an extensive list of predefined buttons that can be placed in the Action bar. This makes it very easy to create customer-specific layouts. The settings can be set and are valid for each application.

Warnings, Status messages

Warnings and status messages, e.g. that the minimum initial sample weight has not been reached, that a printout has been waiting for or is active, or that the static discharge is currently running.
